Thanks to you jens and panfan for keeping this place open to us and for you're most valuable imput cheerz guys peace out
.
i LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! thank you
And thank you for providing a place which has provided so much information about these fantastic machines that sap so much of my (when I've got any) money! I've learned a lot here and discovered some fantastic boomboxes, the atmosphere is great and non-hostile (most of the time!) unlike so many other message boards where people are afraid to post or voice their opinion for fear of getting 'gunned down' by 'established members'.. This board sets a fine example which others could do well to follow, both in moderation tactics and quality of posts / friendliness of users. Thanks again.
I love this place!!!! I can't go a single day without checking it out for at least a few seconds......

MAKE A DONATION NOW!!! It costs to run this hoss!
I am not afraid to shill for the site!
I have heard from Jen and Panafan, can't recall crossing up to chat with Paul, but big ups to all their efforts on our wonderful hobby!
Even at work where I normally would never spend time perusing through a blog about anything...I MAKE time for s2g! Even when I should be sleep!
So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all members for enriching my life and impacting it in a unique way. Even my family has been positively affected by proxy!

I couldn't agree more with all of you and I will be making another donation. I can't think of any other site I have received so much from, with the exception of a bad apple here and there this site has been awesome. Fortunately we have a few moderators who kick the bad apples out of the basket.

Well Im grateful to all of you guys who talk b
ack {to small players like me]I have loved this hobby since I was a kid and had a more wealthy friend who at 15 owned a Sanyo M9920 and a M9994 and all I could do is watch in jealousy.Im certainly no RAMBO ESTRADA [what a collection] but love checkn in with my mates from around the world!!! Thanks to Jens and all of you MADMEN and GIRLS at nearly 40 I feel like a big kid again!!!!
I am very happy to be here
Thankyou Jens and whoever else runs this forum (I'm not sure who owns it!) for providing this 'place' where boombox collectors Worldwide have the chance to talk about this fascinating hobby. One reason there's a great mood here is because we all have something in common. Music forums are boring in my opinion, because music is just too big a subject. Plus, there's only so much you can talk about in there. Here, it's different, very close knit, warm and welcoming. The layout and appearance of the forum has something to do with that, and there's many different sections of the site which makes it easy for me at least, to stay entertained for hours. I feel privileged to be a part of this site because it's simply the best boombox forum around, plus you get to 'know' other members and I'm pretty sure we all like 'talking' to each other. The wealth of knowledge held by members on this forum is staggering, and as the 'tech guys' meet other tech guys, they'll get more interested and take more boomboxes apart, post more pictures, and generally get more involved and enjoy themselves more, which is great. I've learned more about boomboxes here than I would ever do anywhere else. This forum is amazing, and I wouldn't know what to do with my free time without it! I also hope I've provided some valued input while I've been here!
Thanks again.
And because I am so happy to be here I did
make a little donation
, I wanted to do that
before but I did not have the paypal

this place is great, without it i dont think i would have been able to fix all those bbox's i got from ebay, its also great to share with fellow members, there is not a day go by when i dont log in, i love it, keep up the good work mods
This site is a necessary part of my life, I never thought I would be this involved with any cyber cult(ure)! Amazing and thank you, I am due for another donation as well!
For over 20 years,I had been looking to connect with other who understood and appreciated the fact that the boombox is something more than the sum of its parts. From the time I found S2Go I knew this would be a long term affair.I'm totally hooked with no end in sight...and I couldn't be happier

Totally agree Jovie. I'll say it again, "wouldn't it be cool if we could ALL meet for once at a single location". Wow! Lifetime friendships started, all the jokes and laughs. And to finally see each other in person with our mutual passion for this hobby. So cool. There are so many people, in so many countries I'd like to meet up with and share a beer, Pop,etc. with
I will be in a position to make a proper donation real soon. Wasn't able to earlier, but will make a larger one this time. I'd be so deeply bored without this site.
Gee! Most all has been said in the previous
17 posting's so all I can add
is " Ditto " :-) James
This is
"the place to be"!
At first I thought boomboxes were dead until I remember having a conversation in Miami with an oldschool guy. I mentioned to him about my teen years with boomboxes and he advised me to check ebay. Upon checking BAMM there they were I could'nt believe my eyes. Then out of curiousity I did google seach on ghettoblasters/Boomboxes and BAMMM I discovered S2G. It has been a wonderful experience with this site I have my long lost M-90 & M-70. Thank you Jens and family which started this site I truly love this site it brought me back to something I've missed so long!
Please members don't forget to donate to this site!!

man i remember talking to Paul when he had the idea of the pocketcalculatorshow site.. seems like ages ago.. when i finally seen it.. it was just the way it ought to be.. although i dont have thousands of post.. i visit this site every day.. Tom.. the walkman king was the first to tell me that someone (Paul, didnt know his name at the time) was making a site dedicating to ghettoblasters.. it has been what at least 8 years since then.. bah.. now i'm just rambling on.. glad to be a small part of this wonderful site.. by the way where in Dez and Brian and his 200 boomboxes hehe
yeah, absolutely - it's great on here right now.
All the fighty drama has calmed down for a bit & we just enjoy the different sorts of wit from certain members. Oh, & the b-boxes & walkmen
I don't live permanently on here, posting on every other topic like I used to, but pop in as often as I can.
It's just a nice place to spend some time.
btw, you can spot the oldest & original members on here, they have a Registered date of Wed October 22 2003 (or thereabouts)...
ROCK ON!!!
Speaking of Paul, Has he posted on here in the last year or 2 ? lol
Thanks to everyone. Still visit as much as possible, though I don't post as much.
It is THE only place I visit on the web (apart from ebay of course) on a regular basis and remains my favourite resource for fun, frolics and wisdom...
Keep it up, everyone.

That's great fuzzyduck, my story is pretty much the same. I never thought of trying to find the old blasters that I so fondly remembered and the great ones I never knew existed until I found this site. I was hooked and started my searching immediately once I logged into S2G. I didn't post much for the first few months but I was sure reading and absorbing the information.
That which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is S2G.
Thanks to everyone from me too.
It had been a dream of mine for many, many years to collect/restore ghettoblasters but I had no idea of how to begin until I found Stereo2Go. I always had the passion, but never the resources until then.
It's only through the marvellous people here that I've been able to make this hobby a real passion. Thanks everyone; it's an honour to be part of this community.
Rock On.
There is no place like home... and when it comes to boomboxes, there is no home like this place! Thanks to all who make this place possible, and who make it what it is! Boombox collecting (and also walkmen, etc...) just wouldn't be the same at all, if not for S2G!
This is the Premier site for Old School boomboxes, walkmans and portable audio .
I must add that it is the best and most respectful site on the internet. The quality people here have made me want to come back again and again.I have never made so many friends in my life without ever meeting a single one.Our love for Vintage Portable Electronics drew us to this site... but the fiendship and mutual respect has kept us coming back.
I thought all was lost 20+ years ago when me and my box parted ways.
Then one day out of the blue I searched boombox on google and came upon this site!! That was one of the best days of my life because this site helped me find the model number to my old boomer and with a little bit of luck on ebay I was re-united!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks a million to the peeps behind this great site and to all the members with awesome posts that I spend many hours reading and enjoying!!
Thanks for all the comments guys!
Great to see ,you agree.
I love this site I wanna thank Jen Panasonic Fan and all the members here that made hthis site one of the best ever. Thank ya all.
Wow, this is a great thread. It's good to actually read how everyone feels, although I think we can see the love of all things BBX on a daily basis. We also have a ton of folks who love people, and couldn't be more helpful.
In 2004, I broke out my old Aiwa CS600 and started cleaning her up. I never knew about the internal workings of a BBX or that the belts were melted until I started asking questions. That's when I first realized what a special place we have here!
I too simply looked up Boombox, and found S2G, the best blog and bbx site EVER! And now, well over 3000 posts later, it's even better and growing! Thanks to all the great folks who have the passion!
The best story I have, was early on in my membership, one DaveLC2 (how are ya buddy?) found a second CS 600 in Cali, and sent it to me. When I opened the box, I wept. Not only did I think I'd never see such a beautiful, near new, functional, personal grail, but it brought back a rush of great memories from 1983 when I first opened my original 600! Thanks to all who continue the "quest", and keep this great hobby alive!!! -DD
