I haven't been entirely happy with the sound of my National Panasonic RS-4360. And today - after 10 months of ownership - I finally decided to see if there was anything I could do about it. And I was able to SIGNIFICANTLY improve the quality of sound!!!!!!!! By switching the Loudness on!! I'm so stupid
thats mighty innovative vladi --
one other trick -- is to turn the volume up --
its the big round knob left of the tuning dial --
twist it clockwise

sh111t --vladi -
i should have sent you that trick by PM --
now sinister knows -- EVERYBODY knows
Ira, great advice about the volume knob - I'll give it a try in maybe another 10 months!!

See Vladi,Your Never too old to LEARN
Do you mean, the rs-4360? I had one of these, for all of about a month. Rubbish.
Is it RS-4360? Or RX? I'm confused now
RS. The big, over-engineered lump. Similar to the rx-7700.
ah- ha --
some member of notable prominence finally agrees with me about something !!
LUMP is the perfect word --
they put more effort into the swivel mikes than the sound quality
but - still a great looker (imho)
Ok, my mistake!! I'm used to Panasonics being RX
I have to say though - mine sounds a LOT better now - after I tirned the Loudness on
we do love our lumps.

tirned
dont you mean "turned"
he used the more sophisticated spelling from back at the tirn of the century.

Ira, I wouldn't know any spelling from the tirn of the century - as you remain to be the only one who witnessed how people used to spell back then - as I'm a couple of years younger - I'm turning 106 next month
the tirn of the century tirned 8 years ago
Must be a different tirn of century then
8 years ago in Dallas people mostly spelled: *c u l8er* and such
that was about when the founder of CNN --
teamed up with this old rocker hottie :
Ted and Tina Tirner
Tina Tirner? Wasn't she famous in 18th century or something??

haha, Vladi, that was classic. Thanks for the laugh
Almost as bad as me complaining the "i931" was kinda "dull looking". I forgot to take off the protective plastic coating
This thread is too funny! Ira offering spelling advice from the turn of the century while himself in diapers, for extreme seniors that is.
(And I should know, I had to send them to him from special factories right in Gulf Shores!
)

Oh good gracious vladi! You must be reffering to a flapper girl! I'm sure you're glaucoma is acting up and you meant TURNER!
Actually, it was Ira who said *Ted and Tina Tirner* - because earlier in the thread I spelled *turned* as *tirned* - but I wasn't 100% sure which Tina he was talking about - so I asked Ira if he was referring to the famous Tina Tirner from 18th centiry

Well if anyone can tell us about the 18th century it's Ira!
I wonder if they had boomboxes back then?
Want a lesson on spelling guys.

*Tina Tirner*
well, you guys are wrong, correct spelling is " Tuna Tirner "
still a hot old hottie --
and even way older than every member here (i think)

That was pretty funny
Ike & turner corner?
i can tina turner
(hopefully)
Wow, so the 7700 sounds that bad?
It's gotta at least sound better than a 5050 or 5150...
reli --it is better than those 2--
but a good cosmetic , functioning 7700 might sell on ebay for 5 or 10 times more than them.
Reli, maybe I got lucky, but my 4360 sounds really good - better than my Sony CFS-99, Sharp 9696 or Sanyo 920, for example. Plus no other box comes even close to looking half as cool. In fact, it looks sooooooooo cool - even I'm envious of myself for owning it
Look`s like a guitar amp.
