Working my route picking up recycling (glass bottle, plastic, and metal) a man comes up to me and asks if i can throw out a TV set for him. I eplain to him that the TV isnt recycling and that I'd have the garbage guys come by and grab it. He then tells me he also has an "old big radio" he wants to toss out too. My ears go up like a dog seeing the mailman down the block. I say let me see the radio. Turns out its a Panasonic Rx-C300-2 in good condition just a little dirty from sitting in his basement. Lets just say he didnt have to wait for the garbage guys to come by to grab his TV set.

Side note : The tape player plays in reverse mode, but when i play it on the forward mode the tape doesnt wanna play, it just unravels the tape in the inside of the box. Motor? Belt? Some one have an idea ? Also i may be getting rid of this box after i clean the sucker up. Need money, looking for a bankroll for a Conion run. (maybe...might keep it after all, I dunno.)

Anyone got a link for a picture of this thing? I wanan send the pictures out to buddies who dont believe i find such things on my route.

hey man i belive you i happen to work for the city i am a automated driver for boynton beach and i see tons of stuff thrown out daily that people dont want..i get people flag me down to offer me to take stuff they dont want, up to now i have not been offered a bbx yet but dont think that i think about it waiting for someone to tell me they got a grail they want to get rid of

so far on my finds (and i wasnt really even looking) was a GF 777 (i had to replace the speakers with mods) Lasonic 975, Sony CF 580, and an Awia 770.

Cleaned this little bastard up. Hit it off with some Dexoit for the pots, and holy smokes. This is a really really nice sounding box. Loud as balls too.

However I can only play tapes in reverse mode. The side facing away from you. Wont play in forward position. Also wont FF or Rew. I know its got to be belts. I just dont wanna be resposible for opening this sucker up. COULD give it a wack however. WOULD ANYONE KNOW BELT SIZES? OR WHAT TO DO TO GO ABOUT REPAIRS?

I have pictures that are stuck in my friends digi-camera. Plus that weird gook on the speaker isnt there no more. I cleaned that sucker up to a nice shine. Plus if you notice the graphic eq arent even fully lit. Well deoxit took care of all that. This thing came back to life real well. Let me have a few more days for the pictures. I apologize for the delay.

(I spent over two weeks trying to get pics from my phone sent to my computer and it wouldnt go. Just randomly tried while at work on down time and it went through.)
