Hi everyone-I had to ask this-Is there any cartoon charchter boomboxes besides Hello Kitty?
I thought I had seen a Scooby Doo boombox or maybe even a Popeye Boombox? Just kidding-don't I wish!
By the way I just about bought the Hello Kitty brand new in the box when I was up in northern Minnesota.39.99!
I thought this would be a good question as I haven't seen hardly any ever!
Have a great one-Ghettoboom777.
There are a few loonie tunes walkmans out there and
even a Tasmanian devil walkman
, boomboxes I do not know
If there were some others produced I'm thinking they wouldn't have appeared before the late '90s.My early version of the database doesn't have any that I can remember. It will be interesting to see if the new database fills in a lot of the more contemporary boxes which seemed not very well represented in my copy of the earlier version.I'm pretty sure though that cartoon boxes wouldn't be particularly good performers over all. They would have obviously been marketed mostly towards kids who generally have sensitive ears.Interesting non the less....
There is a Spiderman-Boombox:

"Tigerente" (tigerduck?) is so popular, they have bikes for kids, that are painted yellow with black stripes like this character. And I know lots of woman in my age they paint their bikes same way because they like this catoons.
Here´s a walkman with janosch-designs:

Yes, Toshiba made some colorful boomboxes in the nineties with Warner Brothers cartoon characters on them. Here is a
Bugs Bunny box that appears to be still for sale.
Here's a more recent
Tweety Pie boombox that also looks like its available.
Here's an eBay auction (ended) for a mono
Bugs Bunny Toshiba boombox. Oh, and here's a German ad for a
Looney Tunes walkman.

Hi everyone-Thanks so much for this info!!
I've decided when I'm up in Minnesota again I'm going to but that Hello Kitty brand new in box at Target for 39.99.I like it and they're not that bad sound wise I've heard.
I'm really surprised that there this many cartoon boxes!
Thanks for these links and all the info!
Have a super Halloween and a great weekend-Ghettoboom777.
Or you build your own one.
Look what i made with the "Gay-Blaster".
I found a few old pink panther stickers.
I putted it on the box.
A little discolite at the top.
The broken cassette door is screwed down, before i inserted an adaptercassette for MP3 connecting.
Now i have an nice box, when friends come with their children.
Sorry the bad pics:

james that barbie boombox is the one you been hiding in your bedroom
I thought of Barbie but changed my mind, because Barbie's main function in life is as a doll and not a cartoon character. (Although she did appear in the occasional animated feature... and live stageplay.)
