I love the seller of this firsat box because when I asked him if he would consider a buy it now of 40 euros, he said no. I won it off him for 20,50 euros instead. I also love him cos he listed it as a 'transportable soundmachine'.
Here is the minty Watson RR5600
I love the seller of this next radio because she listed it as a 'radiorecorder from the 80's'. I also like her because after I won it for 7,50 euros, she wrote me to say I should just come round and pick it up, thus saving on postage. I gave her 10 for being a nice lady. I also like her because I got home, opened the battery door, and it was full of batteries!
The Sony ZX-7

that's exactly what i think mirko
had several same experiences in the past..strange auction-names/listings or bargains after a bin-question.
Your Watson is pure eyecandy!
And you got it for a very nice price too!How is your opinion on the sound of these?I heard several opinions, stating that it was somewhat near or even worse than the Crown/Unisef SZ ?
The Sony is a great little bargain you got there!
All in all..congrats on them 2 great ebay-buys!
lucky guy, you are!
I think that little sony would be more happy
in my collection!!
Thanks guys!
Well the Watson is a lot heavier box than the Unisef/Crown SZ's. Heavier plastic, so the lows are definitely handled better. Its quite loud to. I havent really tested it out yet, but I think it sounds better than the other 2. And yes, its as 'big black shiny box' as you can get!!
those tapes look fantastic in there, very tasty
Wow! I had the Helix version of that Watson. It looks fantastic with those reels in them. I sure miss it. Congrats to you.
Wow! Congratulations on your generous finds, Mirko! I hope you added the sellers to your "favorite seller" list; they might have more boxes!

Congrats Mirko, those are some fine boxes and you can't beat how you found them. It's pretty exciting to win a nice box for so little money.
Now we all know to add "radiorecorder" and "transportable soundmachine" to our eBay searches. Thanks!
Jokes aside, congrats on those boxes. Nice stories; especially nice that you tipped the old lady that way. That Watson sure is a piece of "eye candy" for its "big black box" type. A real 'classic'!

OH MY GOD! You are the best beatbox! Look at that Watson! It's immaculate!
Oh that's sweet. A ZX-7 for beer money!
Is it all fully working?
The deck on that thing is a disc-drive job, (like the hallowed DD9 walkman) & has a better wow & flutter spec than an M90. It's one tasty mini, feature laden & the sound quality of a mid-size...

Yep, its fully working... that is to say after I got it home and gave it a little contact spray. I reckon the thing had been sitting around for a while. I deduced this from the fact that the batteries were still in it, and if it were me, I would have taken the batteries out cos I hink it can be expensive to replace them. She obviously doesn't replace them on a regular basis as she didn't even know they were in there. Maybe she got this some place else, who knows.
Anyway, I'm incredibly impressed at the sound capabilities on this one. I'm gonna build me a rack for the handle bars on my bike and have this come with me to the lakes in summer.
