So this is about an hour and a half away from me. He's selling it for $25 so that's not the issue, I just don't really need (want) the thing unless it's cool, which I assume it really isn't...

Jeez... I wish I could just find some REAL boomboxes in this area...

Personally, I would make the trip for that box at that price (unless the price of gas these days would mean the box actually ends up costing an arm and a leg to get! LOL), but I have a weakness for boxes with unusual features like large built-in TVs or turntables, boom mics, etc... However, that is just me; if it doesn't float YOUR boat, so to speak, then you may decide to pass on it. Collecting is a personal choice, and your collection should reflect your own preferences.
