Well. Since Felix got one of these babies a couple months back and showed it off next to his Crown SZ, the sheer size of this baby made me want it. Plus it looks great too.

So, I spotted one on the Bay, and though the seller ilsted it is defect with the tape player 'not working', I decided to go for it and try to fix it up. I decided to limit my budget to 35 euros however, as I am making a point of trying to spend as little as possible right now. Anyway, I won the box for 33 euros and got it a couple of days ago. The aerials needed changing, but that was fine. I had some which fit perfectly. Then listened to the radio on it for the first day and was very very very impressed by the sound. Very clear highs and a solid strong bass.

The next day I decided to see what the tape issue was. I pressed play and wait, it started playing. I pressed rewind and it rewound. Same with fast forward. Pause, all good.

Hang on, this is meant to be defective.

I reach for A Tribe Called Quest, People's Instinctive Travels... And put it in the slot.

It plays!!!!!

So thanks eBay seller for allowing me to get such a good deal on a very mpressive box!

Now that's great!!The Goldstar is an absolute great box.It has a mad and just "right" look and nice sound imho!lotta features..one of my favourites at the moment!

i thought that goldstar were one of that cheapy plastic producer with bad qualitity.
now i have to rethink it and get me one of this. i saw them so often around on ebay and fleamarkets....

I have been chasing one of these since JLF last year swore by his! BNice one Mirko, I had an M90 that had a broken deck fix itself in transport once!
