As of now, this thing has been bid up to $140:
Even though there is another exact same tape with a BIN of $89 (and even that is overpriced):
There are 1 or 2 of those tapes listed EVERY WEEK.....Rare they are NOT.....lol

I have made it my point not to get involved with this type thread anymore...BUT il'll say this I pay that amount for boomboxes NOT blank tapes lol

My last Teac reel cassette was forgotten in a boombox that I'd sold. I'd like to find another just for display purposes but not at that price!

Yeah, people are being kinda dumb with their tax refund money. Another Teac just ended at $94, and it wasn't even a gold or silver one, it was green and normal bias!
Oh well, I am just mad I didn't win it
isolator42 - 2011-04-05 04:24
...mad money for a blank tape. I thought a fiver for a TDK MAXG 90 was too strong back in the 80s. This is bonkers.

all i can say is some blank tapes are worth big dollar-i have some basf tapes from 1979 still sealed i found in a charity shop a couple of years back-i wonder what these are worth?i guess its like with boxes-would you pay 1000 for a discolite etc etc its what your comfortable enough paying i guess-metal tapes are another dear purchase when they ever show up......and they dont....for me lol

Another green teac sold for $100......crazy
driptip - 2011-04-19 09:05
pretty nice! this show us how strong the reel to reel cassette represents out there, how disareable they are, i would pay that much ! maybe not for the same one but i would.
reli - 2011-04-23 09:32
LOL, $126 for a black one? Normal bias?
reli - 2011-05-09 12:08
So, yesterday a gold Teac (normal bias, lol) sold for $137.......even though there was an IDENTICAL tape which could have been purchased for $89 buy-it-now. I truly don't understand it.
