is this a good score? just baught it earlier today off Craigslist locally and haven't had a chance to clean and plug it up. didn't find much info on the sound quailty for this unit, but found alot for the ds690, 790 and ds990
if it has the same cassette deck components inside like the other units, i assume it should sound good?
it's a bit dirty, but a good cleaning by myself should fix er right up...

The DS750 sounds pretty good,it isn't as good sounding as the BI Amped Panasonics (IMHO) but still very nice.
It has a cool 3 disc cd changer too.......

I cleaned it up with electronics contact cleaner and stuck a tape in to hear how it sounds..
It sounds good, but I wonder if it could sound better. I thought it would blow me away compared to the Sanyo C4 that i own. But it is slightly better than the C4, but lacks the volume depth like the C4.
I would imagine the tape section components inside would be the same as the other more infamous units of this series from panasonic (DS680 or 990). All the functions seem to work (EQ, tape functions, etc. ). the volume through headphones seems limited, not getting very loud compared to other few boomboxes I have. Even after turning it all the way up, it just doesn't have the punch like my Sanyo C4.
The volume control is a touch button instead of the usual turn knob or slide control like most boomboxes.
Could the volume knob need to be cleaned inside? it had some dust from being in a garage for a while after I got it. it hadn't been used in a while...
any thoughts? this is a very cool unit to have...
