hi everyone,im new to this forum,im trying to find a model number for a crown boombox i sold on ebay about nine years ago it was similar to a gf 777 in appearance with a thick brown leather shoulder strap.

it needed new antennas and a good clean up,im gutted i sold it, i must have been listening to the wife. ive since started collecting and havent seen it anywhere on the web.

got my first box in 1984 a bush unit that ended up beat up and full of spray paint.

thanks for the speedy reply,no thats not the one,buttons and dials were on top of the unit and the front was almost all speakers,quite a big thing it was,no handle just a strap

only 2 boxes that i know are these..

crown with strap but not like 777..

and a 777 look a like with buttons on top but no strap and its not a crown..in UK these are sold under the steepletone brand

thanks for replying,it was similar to the 350 above,tape deck was on the top left with a speaker to the right of it and speakers below them.loops for the straps were the same on the crown unit you posted.

i still have the laptop in the loft that i used to sell it,maybe i could recover the images i used to put it on ebay,it was definately crown.

Sorry i cant help you more,the only others i know of with speakers on the front is Philips D8444,Aiwa 880,Discolite,and the ones above,and i think akai made one aswell with a row of speakers on the front..yes it would be a great idea if you could get the pic of the other lappy and upload it to here..

would be good if any member of this site had the boombox database,thats got more or less every box made,i'm sure it would be on there..
