After looking at your picture and searching for a picture of a Sharp GF 305 other than your's here, it looks like that the slider button under the tape counter window is installed upside down.?
Here is Our seach process and When we seen one the web that a Sharp GF-305 is similar to a Sharp GF-9191 or Sharp GF-9292 via a link from Stereo2go...
We got out Our Sharp GF-9191 and Sharp GF-9292 and discoverd that both dont have the slider's at the bottom.
Then we took these 2 pictures below to show you, Here is two different views of the both of them as Hopefully you can see here both pictures are uploaded full size so that hopefully you can read the text on the laptop.
1. here is a top view: and the link to the fullsize picture;   http://i56.tinypic.com/keb3fb.jpg

Nice.... Yes, I just swapped the right volume knob with the right front echo control knob.

The 305 is a mixture of 9191 and 9292 with the 9696 tape-speed and echo sliders. Thanks for those cool pics!

Now,

Reno.... I know where you are coming from, so.... yeah, undersanding... No more buying from germany. i got scammed once, only one... I actually never got the Bbox!!!! 100€ lost!

radio.raheem - 2011-07-27 09:56

Sorry to read that bry....I just dont trust germans after all my dealings with them brian...and that includes an ex mod on here...I always end up worse of with them bry.....the box was superbly packed n all but like i say...the eq is dead....pretty worthless to me lad...but i do know what's wrong with it...i will find some other eq rails of another box, and get sombody to solder them in....EVEN ol, litfan was skanked by a german years ago....REMEMBER that rich...I think it was on a 9696..

Ohh and the box cost £130 all in bry...total scam

Dear Mr. James Craven Pierce,

I have to make a big ASSs grin here: ... or two! After having re-read you post.

Why you ask... Well, I just find it cool (I guess there are not that many GF 305 in Europe or The Americas right now).

The other pic of a GF305 that you found, to compare to the one in my "Guessing Game", that other one is actually the same one!!!!!!!! MY EARLIER PIC AS WELL!!! I recocnized it by the chair it is sitting on and the slight back ground!. My hole collection was taken, one Bbox at a time, on a chair....

But, yes the other pic you have is with the slider knobs in the right place.

Bredgeo

This above is a neat statement Thanks are in order and Kudo's to you for Putting his information out here in the world!!

This has been Our Sole Occupation 'other than having a real money making job' - of getting this kind of information out there via a picture with a description. Or as we Prefer to do the very same thing via a video with sound

We really wish that there was MORE information of this Niche of boombox's uploaded and stored away on some server network to be accessed by all, rather than gathering dust in some basement building somewhere.

If we had the knowledge of what we know now ) experienced via SOUND not Text - well that is another story.

Reading recently through ebay we came accross this listing below and the little blurb mentioned about the "only video" of this out there ( Wrong - there is another one but it dont show up so soon )

link an briefly:

Rare Mint Conion CRC-H84FC BoomBox GhetoBlaster Mint Sounds Fantastic It Looks New And Works Perfectly http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Mint-Conion-CRC-H84FC-BoomBox-GhetoBlaster-Mint-/150636445830?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2312a1c086

Likeyour Picture of your Sharp GF 305 showing up first in the google search - that is neato!

What we wish is simply back in the day when the internet was young that people would have dumped all they could of "old" stuff of picture's and information of old things then that was old to them then ... ...  rather than 'us' being really really old  having to be the ones that upload this stuff now as "WE" knew of it back when and now having the YOUNGSTERS come and wanting to play their digital stuff through our analogue stuff...

The Youngster's Present day being SO Smart should design Build and market an Boombox to Over come the Laws of Physic's ( as 'they' are sooo smart nowadays ) to be able to get to build; a Building Rattling, Teeth chattering, Hugmoungous  Sound out of their little briefcase batterie operated boombox manufactured cheaper than that TDK one out there...  and Operate's on Solar Power or very little battery power ! So where is this technology Youngsters???

Think we got off track here...

bredgeo - 2011-07-28 01:15

That Conion looks sweet!!!!!

Ahhhh. we are not off topic, not many members are playing any ways!

If not, your remark(s) are about right!!!!!!

Anecdote: On the site, http://www.stereo80s.com/ ... I went on it one day and had a look at the pics they had. And low-and-behold for the Sharp GF 8585 they had one of my pics... Now, it was not a pic of my personal 8585, but another I had got from Germany for parts (original parts) to put on my own... Once I got all I needed, I remade (in resin) the parts I had taken of the donor and fixed it up, then put it up for sell on the French eBay..... That is the pic that stereo 80's has! I found it cool!
