Uhoh the bug has struck, I bought another one

When for a walk round the local car boot sale and came across this beastie, it was sat under a table on the floor so was (and still is) filthy as hell, it says remote but there wasnt one with it, I paid £4.
According to the front panel it is a Panasonic RX-DS660, I havent checked it over properly yet or tested it yet so I dont know if it works. I may just sort this one and and swap it in the end though as its a big old thing and space is limited or Ill keep it in the car boot tied down for when I want some loud music on my travels and I have to leave the car.

that looks like it will come back up after as good clean - there are a few in this series, like the creamy bass of the Panny DT680 (of which should be on your wants list and not far from the end of a grail list )
now get cleaning and see what you have turned up

Given it a rough clean, CD and Radio are definately working, Right speaker seems a bit quieter than left, bass boost works. Theres paint splaters and scars all over, the battery door is missing and the left speakers grill is dented and rusty, but I may be able to fix that.
Airel is also all out of shape, really need a manual if anyones got a link handy.

Tape works and something is definately up with right speaker, sound comes through but much quieter. Hopefully its just contacts that need cleaning but Ill investigate more later.
Here is what one working would be like - yours there - Sega
panasonic rx-ds660 001.MOV

and a lessor Model number of the same series -
Panasonic RX-DS620 Portable Stereo Component CD System http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz07WxHuny8
Similar in Features to yours is the one above

Thanks for the links James, mine does work but not to the best of its ability yet, Im hoping the issue with the speaker is minor as I dont want to spend much more on this box as Im not sure its really my cup of tea, I am however getting visions of it customised in my head although I need to make it complete and fully working first.
