Being that Ive got stuff to find for 3 boxes now I was wondering if there was anyone that specialised in selling parts shop wise? I did put wanted threads up but I dont think anyone has the parts on here and space is a bit limited to buy donor units.

sega lad,i think thats the only advice i could give you mate, donor units..i dont think manufactures stock any old parts anymore,i mean these things are anything upto 30 years old now,i think you can get belts ect..but as for genuin parts i think its a no no..so only thing you can do is seek parts from donor boxes..i know, its a sad shame..but its the truth man..

Thing is the panasonic takes up most of my space and the Hitachi just squeezes in, I cant really fit a donor in so I was wondering if there was a breaker for them, like we have for cars and some old game systems.
Another problem is one of the 3 doesnt belong to me and is a Prinz which I cant find nothing on, I think my friend wants original parts too being that its a setimental item.
I dont mind not having the exact items for the panasonic and hitachi as long as they fit and look right.

Hi Sega i agree with Beanie Man donor unit's are pretty much what's out there these day's and even those box's fetch a pretty penny.Wish i would have started collecting BoomBox's long ago,but like most collector's on here we were in our youth and with not much cash if any on hand....Good luck in your search...................................PIONEER

i have a few doner units i have found in garage sales and such. Let me take a look in the wanted section and see if I have anything that can help. Remember sometimes its good to put dimentions of body pieces since some can be used from one brand or model to another.

Ill measure up the Hitachi and Panasonic a bit later, the prinz I may be able to do when Im next round my friends house, Ive got another headache at the moment with the hitachi, theres a loose connection and both the main speaker and the tweeter on the left hand side have failed, which was rather annoying when testing a Beastie boys cassette.

check the volume or balance slide it back and forth a lot or hit the fm cassette switch and see if it comes back it might need a cleaning and it might not be the tweeter or loose connection
