finished work at five this morning and was hoping the rain held off so i could go carbooting,its not often i finish before seven which means your gonna miss the best stuff,got there for seven and got lucky,got a gf 9090 for a tenner and gf 4747 for a quid,couldnt budge the guy on the price of a tenner but its still a good find.

bit of a moral boost,sick of looking at eggs everywhere i go!

thanks guys,..weird thing is ive seen this fella on this carboot before and he only sells old radios,he must have a good source...a local tip or something,he kept trying to palm me off with an old valve radio lol,definately one to get there early for.

Maybe its worth seeing if people are wanting any next time you go, you would proberly be able to charge a bit for your time and it would help people out.

I like the sound of old Valve radios but they arent cheap to fix if something gives up, that and alot of them are still wired for old plug sockets and not the ones we use now.

he wasnt letting anything go cheap,the 4747 was off another seller,he had a nice sanyo rp 8880 multi band radio for 20 quid,but i was all spent up,could of made a few quid on that towards something else.

Ah right, Ive come across a few sellers like that, some want the earth for complete junk.

Sweet finds and good prices - carboots are getting to know that boxes are worth money !  the secret is out the bag, trouble is they will start going out to ebay - so it will be only a short time of finding them, when they bring them to a carboot to try and sell them then out to ebay - same happened with bmx's

DB - get yer bum to more bootfairs - some of my great boxes have truned up from carboots

cheers fellas,one of the carboot parking workers said he has a massive sharp and he would bring it next sunday for me,.i thought he was blowing smoke up my a**e though but you never know.

well done bison mate-been doin ok myself recently.....got a ferguson 3t22 from a flea a couple of weeks ago for 15 quid,an hitachi 8080 for 7 from a booty and just last saturday a sanyo m4200 for 15 from another carboot.....it seems slowly but surely they are starting to filter back out there again.....not had owt from the recycling centre for a bit though-still,off again tomorrow,and did find a gorgeous 1980s adidas holdall at the booty this morning for 2 quid!!!!
