to be honest i dont recall having seen one anywhere in the uk before, you might/will most likely need to import this one. id expect you will need to part with quite a bit of wonga. i would look at japanese auctions - then stateside if youre prepared to pay more

i have to agree with andy the binman,i doubt you will see one in uk,nothing of quantity of brands were ever sold here in uk,all we got was sharp philips,jvc ect..so i think over seas is the only place you'll get one i'm afraid..

both Sanyo big bens are for sale
a. the pretty one need a cassette deck belt
b. the Ugly one needs the Two (2) 4.125 inch mid-bass woofers re-coned and lots of cosmetic make-up

Check out jauce.com which act as an intermediary between you and yahoo japan auctions. They deal with the seller and offer double packing at minimal cost. Be aware though, if you pickup a deal on a bigben for cheap, you will pay around 180 quid for postage and around 60 quid import tax. So either way you are swiftly looking at 300 quid minimum.
I got mine this way, it had issues but if you have the gumption you can fix em like I did. Mine is now 100% and in excellent condition. One thing worth noting is to study the pictures onthe auction and translate the text because a lot of japanese boxes have mould or rust on the chrome parts.

yer man i was so lucky to bag that,and it was on my very most wanted list!....trouble is if you find one over seas it's so big and heavy to get shipped over in one piece....and that's if you find one for sale
