that box looks solid mate, built like a tank..and £10 is nothing for an old skool box..looks well worth it !!
thebeardedlady - 2011-09-09 06:33
Im excited to hear how it sounds!
ghettoman - 2011-09-09 06:48
first thing to do is test it out for about 5 minutes to see how it sounds..then switch it off and spend the rest of the day cleaning it..in the past i've spent a whole day cleaning just one box,it has to be done,if a box can look like new,i want it to look its best, they deserve it..

well spotted james, actually, years ago, ferguson and jvc joined forces in the early 80s when they were making the ferguson videostar video recorder, maybe the 2 boxes are the same..
thebeardedlady - 2011-09-09 09:51

The 3T04 arrived today! Everything works and its in nice condition, just a little clean needed. It sounds quite good considering the size of it. It doesnt hit the low notes as well as a large box and the volume becomes distorted if you go anything above 3 quarters volume but on the whole im pleased. It even has a din input for the ipod!
Here are some more pics for you to have a look at...

Ahh... memories. I have registered just to post as I have at long last found the model I had.
I can tell you the year my parents purchased this model of Ferguson unit. It was late 1978. I loved it as the volume controls doubled as recording levels. There weren't many "boom boxes" that had manual recording levels. My brother ended up with it so I bought an Hitachi 7200E in 1981 for £50. That was automatic recording levels.
