hi all got my hands on a few more last week a gf-9090, 8306, 8190 and i pick up thursday a proline ptx-2000 cant seem to find out much about it not the best i know but its clean no pings or dings deck b not working tell us what you think .

i had one of those prolines,they are "ok" but they dont sound that great,the controls dont feel like top quality either,and they are not as big as they look on a picture..if its cheap though,and if you dont expect too much you wont be too dissapointed..

Dont know about the last one deliverance...give me more info...i'll look on my boomboxdatabase.....as for the others i would have left them there lol....sorry you asked lad

thanks for letting me know what you think i now feel ashamed reno  i like the 8190 there doesnt seem to be many hitachi fans on here lol ,   i cant find out much about the proline i have not paid much for it i think sometimes i see buy then regret! tbh. 

hey deliverance wasn't said to offend....you asked my opinion....lol ......thats why people don't like me much....but man f""ck what i think....if you're happy thats the main thing....think you said you had a gf 9090....prepare for the exact same work that you followed with the 555

GF9090 is quite a nice solid little thing,i like them,i've had loads of them over the years,also had plenty of 8190 too,they are as nice as the 9090,only for the weak bass i would have kept one,the 9090 sound great for the size,only thing you might find is that it starts to pop and flap the bass when you turn it right up,but fiddle with the bass and it should stay sweet,yes that liitle rubber sleeve on the capstan on these are a pain,silly idea !! the 8306? is that the philips 3 speaker ? they are ok,i've never owned one but my mate had one in his garage,they are ok,but they look a tad plasticy,they sound ok-ish..its all a matter of taste really,some people like them and some dont..

yes mate the 9090 is due any time only bought that sunday night , and more fun and games with that spool /flywheel rubber the 525 has come up well spool done x2 new belts a bath and a battery cover off electron come up well pleased with it,  after a bit of a project now theres a couple on here but people are d0ing deals so i will wait to see whats happens see what you can find out with proline reno

well it looks ok to me man.....only thing i can tell you for 100% those speakers are round covered by a square cloth...

yes that will mean not good speakers as bm said not good in the quality department but i will see if i can improve it just like the look of it .

just seen a close up man,the bass look poor Quality..little paper things,4-watts..i remember mine did'nt sound that great,not alot of bass and distorted quite abit..

tell you what,i just watched the video again,that emerson sounds way better than the proline i had..

Well i tried what i sugested.....it won't set as desctop...i give in grrrr

you dont have to man,if your running vista,just right click the pic and zoom in,think it might even work with xp..but thats what i did..to set it as desktop i'de open with paint,save as jpeg then try again lad..

Edit,tried to save to desktop,wont do it,never mind..

I'm a great fan of hitachi being a big fan of the 8600

thank god for that thought i was the only one on here who likes them, and the 8600 is a belter.

i may purchase a proline ptx2000 soon if it goes for the right money as i think it would look good as part of my collection.. not worried about how good it sounds.. as for the 8600 i want one, if there is one for sale out there give me a shout...just bought a gf9000 this week that im very pleased with :0)

^congrats on the 9000 stereomad,im after one of them they look the buisiness but im waiting for one localish,they dont look like they would survive postage bit like a crown 5100,unless the seller knew how to pack bboxes.
