Way to contradict yourself
You and the US have all the money and boxes yet you rather shop on eBay Germany?

OoooooooooooooooooooK then

keep digging that hole with your foot son

Yeah, because I ONLY shop on Ebay Germany, I never shop on the US site.  LMAO.....  You have a habit of putting words in people's mouth.

Or hmm, could it be, that Ebay Germany gives me exposure to many boxes I can't get here in the US.  Golly what a concept!

hey you guys --

there is still another point to consider....

the entire purpose of this unique 'opportunity' thread -

was to have one spot for a sincere chance to make

$$ evaluations and input opinions-

and thus --to avoid any arguments

for a nice silver rc550

i would pay US$750

because it would be both a beautiful box to have on display -

and a 'money-in-the-bank' investment -

if , down the road , it were to be re-sold

(imho)

radio.raheem - 2012-01-03 05:39

i think james would easily double that....me not my cup of tea

reli - 2012-01-03 09:48

Not a fan of the silver 550, because it hides the silver speaker rings.  Black is best IMO.

By the way, as proof of my claims about the M70's reliable market value (here in the US at least), here you go........$400 with 5 more days to go......

Extorted?  So people are being forced to bid?

claret.badger - 2012-01-03 13:13

"The term extortion is often used metaphorically to refer to usury or to price-gouging, though neither is legally considered extortion. It is also often used loosely to refer to everyday situations where one person feels indebted against their will, to another, in order to receive an essential service or avoid legal consequences."

you pedant

reli - 2012-01-03 21:43

nice dictionary copy/paste, but still not sure how it applies to an open auction where the price started at 99 cents and people take it from there

claret.badger - 2012-01-04 01:58

yes  - sell spotted about the c&p hence the "QUOTATION MARKS"

this was the key word - but i guess you speed read over it and missed it

"metaphorically"

back to you

dogtemple - 2012-01-04 04:27

give it a rest, if you dont want to spend loads on a ghettoblaster then dont, if some people do then leave them to it.    the auction is at 99p let it go from there, it cant be offered much cheaper.

if you want them cheap go get them from places where they are cheap and stop whining about it.  its never going to change.

this thread was supposed to stop all this moaning about prices

I suppose it was naive of me to think this would work.  I partially have myself to blame for thinking pricing boomboxes was clear cut which it clearly is not.  And the above responses are certainly no way to welcome new members, you lot can be a tough crowd.

So, as you were
