how to get away with c120 on a box?

my test machine was a sanyo m9860. i used a bulk packed tdk d120 and played it through twice. no problems. i think the secret is to play the whole side in one session.

i think were you get into trouble with the 120's is when you hunt around for music and cause layers to shift in the tape. make a mix tape, drop it in and let it ride to the end.

anybody else try this without problems?

The tape in those are too thin to last for long. The best thing to do with C-120 tapes is to avoid them completely. Even C90 is pushing it a bit though they are several times more reliable then C120. C180 tapes are completely useless.

Why waste time recording two hours worth of stuff on a tape that's so incredibly fragile?
