I just got a JVC pc-3 parts only box off ebay , desciption said bad speakers and cassette not working . I paid 67.00 for it and it arrived today . This thing was so dirty , it looked like they dumped out the vacume cleaner bag on it right before shipping . So I cleaned it and sure enough the speakers were toast . I started thinking how I could fix them with out buying any parts . I then remembered that I had some brand new polk audio 4" coax speakers in my garage that were for my ex girl friends Toyota . Now the JVC PC-3 does not have tweeters , just a 4" full range speaker . Well ... Guess what ? The Polf speakers were a perfect fit . WOW this has to be the best sounding PC-3 I have ever heard , I think it sounds as good as my PC-55 !  So now attention is on the cassette deck that does not work . Turns out the power cable in the back was set to send power from the cassette battery compartment to the amp instead of the other way sending power from the amp to the cassette . Well ... Guess What ? The cassette appears to be working just fine .

Nice job subbing in the Polk's...you can't go wrong with any speaker Polk makes IMHO.

where are you located usa uk....i may have  a working pc3 deck....but you need to be in the uk....also im not sure if i still have the pc3 anymore.....but i can check

It turns out the cassette deck is working just fine , It was not connected right in the back .  Thank you for the offer though .
