Yesterday i was buying  cassettes from a friend and he decided to give me a present!

The Panasonic RX-ES20 was sitting there on a shelf i was looking at it

and he handed it over to me saying

''I know this is a toy for you but it works the same as if you buy spare razorblades

or video game cartridges then you need a machine to shave and a machine to play the videogames!'' The same as if you buy cassetes or cds the you need a boombox to play them  .

Anyway i know him a long time i m a customer there and we are good friends also so after half an hour  i walked outside the store with the panasonic !!!

The Sony CFD-G30 is the 1ST boombox that i got with my own money! I bought it from an electronics store  in 2001 for 80.000 drh (235 euros). I remember i wanted to buy the Sony CFD-G50 because it had a remote control but unfortunately that was out of my range as it costed 120.000 drh, if i ever decide to just keep one box that would be it and the only reason is for the memories !

I took pictures of them together because they both are from the same era around 1999-2001 and they both don't play mp3's just cd's and cdr's

What i need now is a remote control for the panny and this will be my first box with a remote control !!

How does that SONY sound?

 Well let me put it this way but since its my favourite i cannot be objective

 Seriously what i really think is that the sound is monsterous!

 It is more elegant than other sony's i ve seen.

 It has 2 channels and a super (POWER DRIVE) woofer.

 You can drive the bass as much as you want

 with the big red button exactly in the center of the unit which iluminates !

 If you like your music bassier as me its the right box!!
