So I went down to J&R musicworld in NYC on my break to check out the ihome IP4 boombox and to my surprise the box sounded pretty decent. The build quality was not bad either, and had a matte rubberized coating on the knobs and cabinet. I managed to sneak a little video footage before a salesperson was on to me.

i think the ip4 is a neat nifty little box...love the features it has...the display at JRs is what made me buy it...tho i had returned it buying it online long story....i would get it again...if it goes on sale...

The video does this justice, it looks bigger than I thought.

I'd heard the next iPhone may have a different connector. Could be a problem because there doesn't appear to be a lot of room for an adapter in that iPhone space.

yeah they are coming out with a new one this year with bluetooth and with an enlarged front compartment so you can use it with much larger sized mobile devices....check out the wall of customized limited editions

i've seen it in best buy, but i dont know what to think of it.
