I just kinda GF1000-yfied my GF999..should i have left it original or keep it like this ? all white reflex woofers.. it definately sounds alot better..

I think it looks great with the white woofers, as long as you still have the originals, it doesn't matter. You can always change them back if you plan to sell it or something.

next thing i want to do is stick some white leds in the tuner,,i am really a originalist when it comes to mods,but i think when it comes to a box that is capable of alot more and the speakers just hold it back,its worth doing, these speakers look ok and they make it sound alot nicer,right then,where are those led's

Edit..sorry retro,yes i do still have the subs,but the outer woofers are gone,they went along time ago..

well i was going to add led's but i chickened out,the speakers are enough change..

There are a few differences to the 999 and 1000 but i think they sound basically the same,they have the same amps and same speakers,the 1000 has got a couple of extra funcions (i think)

And reno lad,snap the bars from the outer bass,How very dare you lol..no way i could do that,i would hear it screem in pain,i could'nt possibly harm this thing..

oh yes i had a chance to turn this thing right up,the results are not as good as i thought it would be,it sounds great with banging bass until the volume gets to about 7,but above that the centre woofers start to grumble,strange thing is they dont distort because they cant take the power,i think its because of the amp cant deliver enough punch to drive them..still sounds way more awsome than the original crappy sharp woofers..

I use to own both the 999 and 1000 and regarding the filter or snap bars on the mids....on the 1000 it has a modified bracket without that filter...it just has more song search LEDs...the 1000 is a one of a kind tho with unique parts apart from the 777 family...yeah leave those snap bars alone...i mean it would look almost like a 1000 but the 999 is special by itself as well

where did you get those speakers from?

Sorry lad. To me, the 999, look`s better with stock speakers. The 1000, was very cleverly designed. The white speakers, were put in to go with the blue surroundings. Doesn`t quite seem to work on the 999 though. That`s just my useless opinion.
