I don't think there will be many beers going round but who needs it when we have boxes and music !! We will put on some food and see how we go from there !

deliverance - 2012-08-24 07:05

not interested in the beer either seen to much of how it changes people !      the meet is about boxes having the crack and meeting people with the same interest,

northerner - 2012-08-24 07:38

I love a beer me but am not bothered if there isn't any, I'm driving anyway

deliverance - 2012-08-24 08:20

davebush - 2012-08-24 11:52

The thing is my best mate had one in about 1985 that his parents bought him.....i was obviously gutted as my parents couldnt afford stuff like that...he used to walk up my back alley playing Axel F on it dead loud.........

Wait till i show him iv got one now..........i think the memories will start a flowing

deliverance - 2012-08-24 11:54

no worries dave .

northerner - 2012-08-24 12:08

Nice story Dave...my best mate at school also always had big Hitachi 3 piecers as his parents were a bit more generous than mine LOL. Had to buy my own from my 3 jobs as my parents never gave me any pocket money!

davebush - 2012-08-24 12:13

yeah i know exactly what you mean.....we never had much as kids

docs - 2012-08-24 12:13

After about a year of begging and trying to save any penny that came my way, mum finally caved in and bought me a stereo (on the tick ofcourse) and back then I hated it as it wasn't at all what I wanted which was a big silver street machine. Check THIS ebay sale and look at the pictures, see the dark grey one stood up on its side? that was what I had. I even felt sorry for myself and no mistake. Especially since my brother had that huge Amstrad twin tape deck and turntable boombox!

northerner - 2012-08-24 12:44

I used to get up at 5am go to the newsagents put the papers in order for all the rounds, then do a round. Then I'd hop over the back wall to the chippy next door and peel and chip all their chips for the day. After school I'd work a shift in the chippy. Not a penny from my parents but i was minted, had way more disposable income than I do now. I ended up spending loads on high end Technics seperates just to use some of it up LOL!

davebush - 2012-08-24 12:55

talking of paper rounds....here`s me and my dawg
