samovar - 2012-12-11 12:13
for a second or two i thought i was a washington irving character: already sunday, i said to myself with rip van winkle's voice? nice quiz AO, i love the idea of the "bad" pic!
myself i would had said it's a Sanyo because of the typical round mic, but that's all. i am only an amateur if compared to the professional solutors here (so far, mmcodomino, deliverance, Litfan, deech, & now Metad)
samovar - 2012-12-16 05:07
Hi all, i think it was Bergson who pointed out the difference between objective time (chronological) vs subjective time (perceived). So, although I feel like it's still Saturday, the newspaper says it's Sunday again. Hence:
n. 1
n. 2
You may say: not enough! Sure. Yet enough to start with --& more info than you think

i wonder what's the first model you get when you look for Conion... i'm surprised that the mystery box is still a mystery, i don't think it's a rare model at all. yet...

samovar - 2012-12-16 06:31
sanyos are lovely. this is in my opinion very elegant. it seems to be extremely common in continental europe, right now there are three for sale on ebay.de
deech - 2012-12-16 06:45
Sanyo M9977 has to count as a right answer
This is fair !!!

I must admit that I had never seen one before --I've just found one for sale on ebay.com which looks like exactly the same model, in white. Maybe that was the American edition? Perhaps traveler, the guru of minisanyos, knows.
Anyway, Lav mentioned the RIGHT model before you did. So you won't get any more prizes in addition to that quibble of Clairtone cardbox full of fleas you found this morning in the dumpster...

hi all for a belated sunday quiz. first of all, however, the much required (by traveler) evidence for last week quiz. i apologize for the out-of-focus pic, but today my camera is not working properly:
samovar - 2012-12-23 09:56
as soon as i took the Sanyo black label pic, my camera got creative. when i was about to take the usual general pic from which to extract the details for the quiz, it zoomed on the box and on its own initiative opened the shutter & gave me this:
what's more, soon after this picture was taken, i seem to have temporarily lost my short-term memory. smelling a sulphurous rat i told myself that maybe my camera is possessed and with its wicked shot it stole, together with my memory, the boombox's sound! one doesn't need to believe in animism to realize that, in christmas time, this is serious trouble! hence my request to all the people of good will: would you please help me reverse the effects of this pictorial spell & help me recover my memory by finding out which box is this?
deliverance - 2012-12-23 09:58

sanyo mx650, stab in the dark

lav.loo - 2012-12-23 10:19
ha ha, is it the conion tc99?
lav.loo - 2012-12-23 10:24

samovar - 2012-12-23 10:36
i repeated "Conion" twice, and my camera shot the following:
neither a tc99 nor a c126f. what, then, if not a Conion?
deech - 2012-12-23 10:37
