ok guys having recieved a number of complaints about a certain somebody flooding the boards with inappropriate comments, i have been asked to try and do something to stop this happening.

it is my duty as a moderator to ask anyone who is not complying with the forum rules to please do so.

it is not fair to hijack threads with stuff that has nothing to do with the topic and upset or annoy other members by doing so.

can we please keep threads on topic from now on and anything off topic should be kept strictly in the off topic section, or through dialogs.

lets keep this place clean, fun, and exciting, the way it should be.

I knew it. I`m contemplating leaving the site anyway lav. It`s getting too much, trying to keep myself in check, wears me out. I`ll let you know, if i want my name removing from the membership list. Ah well, it`s something you have to live with, people not willing to understand the repercusions a brain injury can bring. That`s the world we live in, i`m afraid. Just hope, it doesn`t happen to the people concerned, because, you wii know then. I`m off to bed. It`s too much.

You don`t have to lie lav, i know, it was the joke ,about my next door neighbour, and, please, no sympathies, because, they don`t help me in any way. Tomorrow, i`m gonna post a pic, of me in a wheelchair. I hope the people that complained, will look at it, and, think, please god, dont let it happen to me.

Sorry nak, it might be for the best in the long run. The site, is a different beast to when i started. It`s like, every so many years, a new team comes in. There`s only RR, AO, and 1 or 2 others left. I don`t feel as if i have anything to contribute to the site anymore. I just bring misery, and, floods of complaints. The nurses, warned me, it might turn out like this, they were right.

i'm not getting into a debate about it with you Rich, i tell you it was'nt you and you should take my word.

Yeah, this has been bubbling for a while, we're even getting swear words back on the site.  Yeah, I know, we're all adults but nothing puts off new members more than poor language.  Furthermore, can we urge that anything 'off topic' remains in 'off topic', this inlcudes meaningfull boombox related posts that merge into off topic as so many seem to want to do these days.  You really need to ask yourselves before posting whether or not the site would really bennefit from what you're about to contribute.

It's important that we keep this site the premium location for boombox and walkman related chit chat on the web.  We really don't want it to become a backroom banter clique .

Rich, with the utmost respect, whatever you're going through really needs to remain your problem, you have to stop making it our business and pinning it on us, it shouldn't be up to us to 'understand', really.  You are a respected member of this community and we all wish you the best but really, if you need time away from the site then you need to do this yourself rather than blame us for pushing you away.  It may surprise you to know this but we all have our own problems too and this really isn't the place to discuss them.  You don't need to let us know if you want to leave, you can sort this out yourself without all this drama.

Guys, this is a great place to be, let's keep things positive and on topic.

Rich, RR, this is nobody's fault though if I was honest RR you are the worst offender, we're all guilty, myslef included.  By posting on this site you are contributing to content supplied by Stereo2go, though legally S2Go doesn't own your words it's reputation depends heavily on them.  If you want this site to remain great then it's very much our responsibility to ensure it stays that way.

nobody's having a go at Litfan, it was'nt just about the girl you posted up around 5 pics of and the comments.

it was to do with ongoing dribble being plastered everywhere and the pics you posted tonight topped it for certain members.

i myself thought it was a bit below the belt aswell, take it however you want Reno but people are complaining and they can't be ignored!!

I totally here what youre saying chris but who wants to talk about boomnoxes all day.....yhere is only so much can be said about them lad.....with no banter between the guys this place will die.....this is what happened with other mod in controll locking threads etc and everybody left...i for one don't want the whole situation repeated again.....if there isn't any banter what else is there for members like me and lit lad...i have had all the boomboxes we have been here over 10 years.....only so much can be said about them bro...

No Reno, you are wrong.  Everyone left because their best buddy went off and set up another site.  If you don't want to talk about boomboxes then go somewhere else or telephone eachother, failing that, go and watch Downton Abbey.  Mods lock threads when no value can be gained by keeping them open, this has always happened and always will.

Seriously, if you're not happy with this site and you feel it isn't the place to share you're non-boombox related problems then please leave, we really don't mind.
