Flotsam and Jetsam

metad - 2012-12-24 07:48

This picture was taken on the "Maldives Victory" cargo ship, which sank in the 1981, and lies close to the Hulhule Airport Island, Maldives.

The ship was sailing from Singapore to Male with a full cargo of supplies for the resort islands.

I googled and found a couple more pics of this place, so you may see - still possible to find boomboxes "in the wild", LOL.

samovar - 2012-12-24 10:08

that's what i'd call a full immersion course

northerner - 2012-12-24 10:49

They'll be putting them on eBay as 'slight water damage'

Love that first pic!

Definitely my type of sunken treasure!!

samovar - 2012-12-24 11:03

since metad solves effortlessly most of my sunday quizzes, for once i'll try to reverse the roles and identify the box of pics 1 and 2 as the Sanyo M9921K - Scuba Dive Limited Edition, of course

deliverance - 2012-12-24 11:09

dm4u will have it listed as slightly soiled bargain at $500.

Samovar, it looks more like it's a M9920, not the 9921, because of the carrying handle,

on the second picture - it has flat cheap handle, but the 9921 has a proper, rugged one.

the devil is in the details... yes it looks more like a 9920 - unless it really is the Scuba Dive Limited Edition of the 9921
