Well i ve managed today to find out my Sanyo m9922k

(also known as m9923)

from the basement .

I m thinking of spray painting it  and i m seeking

some advice on what colour should i do it??

(i was thinking metallic red).

Maybe i can do some stenciling on it too..

Some stickers would be nice too so that i can give it

a more street look..

Now what spray paint should i use for plastic?

Should i sand it before starting the process??

How can i spray paint chrome at the

chrome parts that have faded?

I know that those are many questions but at least

thats some food for thought!!!

Oh and if you guys and girls ofcourse have any pics of

spray painted boxes or graffiti and stickered boxes

please share some pics here!!!

can you get hold of any mtn94 where you are deech?

its hell of lot better than car paint and comes in every color you can think of,and is about £3.50 for a 400 mill can

Never seen this MTN paint, where in the uk do you get it from? Checked eBay and can only seem to find bulk packs. Looks interesting tho

you can buy it online,there are other makes out there that are better,most online suppliers have a mininum spend of about £25.

i get it direct from the supplier in manchester-suspect package in gorton.

That is graffiti specific and should you should not bother with it.

Basically, a high pressure can allows you to put on a fat cap and do bombs with big outlines while a low pressure can allows you to put a skinny cap and do details on murals.

Get the color you need and use the standard cap that comes with the can.

you can buy low pressure paint and all kinds of caps including soft caps,mtn94 is a low pressure paint.

I ve just started the process of painting 2 of  my boxes!

Its the 1st time i ve paint a box!!

I followed Bisons advice and purchased some montana 94 spray cans

and i have to say that they are fantastic for this kind of job !!

wow that is some shade of blue!...you wouldn't lose either of those boxes in a snowstorm!

i love this sort of stuff...you can plan and design for hours but its much more fun just diving in and doing whatever takes your fancy...looking forward to the final pics

Northerner my next move is to spray paint the chrome!

Now this  i ll have to see how it will turn out !

lookin at your the cans youve bought the montanna chrome will be a higher pressure than the mtn94.

yes the guy who owned the shop told me its a high pressure

can and i might need to change the cap .

Do i need to spray a coat of clear acrylic lacquer on them or not??

the cap supplied on the chrome will be a fat cap,together with the higher pressure it wont be as easy to use as the 94 stuff,

caps are the nozzles that come with the paint..fat cap is a fat line skinny cap thin line etc.

did the shop sell caps? if so try and get hold of some soft caps for better control,if not be careful with it.also chrome paint is harder to cover in normal colored paint.

and what if i changed caps with a 94 can ? will this work?

Yes, you need to lacquer them in the end.

Nev i only apply one coat of the lacquer sprayr eh?

what i mean with the chrome is once youve applied it if you wanted to cover the chrome in another color it could take a couple of coats.

mtn94 is a matt finished paint,you can buy other paints that are gloss finish,laquer would be car paint..its your choice

try the 94 cap on the chrome it may spit a bit from the neck of the cap though

I ll try that with the mtn 94 cap.

i have to buy the clear lacquer spray and

will ask her for some soft caps.

Had the time  to do some stenciling today!

My sis helped me by printing the letters and the

 record pattern and i did the dirty job by cutting them!

Also bought some stickers .

Cant really paint today as the humidity

is high and yesterdays hangover

is worse than i thought!!

Yes deech boombox's on acid would be great topic,just if they were on acid i think their would be no more boombox's  so far so good though deech lookin midy fine from what i see,can't wait til your finished product.......your color scheme is intense!
