I have the 4503 model. It's one of my favourites. So much quality and built to last. Picked it up for £26 fully working due to a poor listing on Ebay! Wonderful.

Sony and superscope teamed up around the same time (mid to late 70s) on a number of designs, dony know if any other companies were  involved with superscope though????

I have this same unit and love it. My best friend in 1984 got one of these new, so I believe it's an early 80's model. Him and I use to walk everywhere with our boxes jamming. Me with my CEC OL7540 and him with his Superscope CRS4000.

As far as i have bern able to find out, Superscope were a design firm in California who really went to town with their machines features and looks but did not manufacture anything themselves. The boxes were sub contracted out to Marantz, Sony and Macdonald Instruments.
