Arrived during the week, All they way from Hong Kong, my first boombox grail a Panasonic RX-7200! Thanks to s2go member Peppin for getting it all the way to the UK safely and for his friendly service. This is the box I asked about cleaning tips for as it was a bit grubby and I'm delighted how well it scrubbed up!

Thanks guys, It takes pride of place in the living room (well worth the row with the Mrs) and I love how it sounds! I was hoping this box would ooze quaulity and I'm not dissapointed! its got a nice clear sound and the bass and treble controls are very responsive to suit anyones tastes. As for the volume it goes to 10 and I've not needed/dared gone past 4 yet!

haha! yeah! the row mostly about the size off my collection, I've only got 9 boxes what's the matter with her? Anyhow the grief was nothing compared to if she found out how much it cost!

Hi Reno! you're right, this is the box I've been waiting for since the start of April! Shipping worked out about £60, by air would have been double! Well worth the wait though!

and Northerner, I'll keep pushing my luck (I've got another one getting delivered to my parents house she doesn't know about) but I think divorce may be on the cards before I hit 25 Boomers!

Personal I find this the most beautiful looking box ever! Wish I ever got to see one in real life! Congrats with the box and living my dream haha 

Thanks for you comments, I am very happy man with my "posh" box If you're really wanting a rare box Just get in touch with Peppin through ebay, I asked him if he could get an RX 7000 and he sent me a list of boxes he was expecting (including my rx 7200), then a few weeks later I Had a choice of boxes sold "as is" before they were put on ebay. (the RX 7000 was put on ebay and I'm sure I seen a post from another member that got it)

Hi, its pretty heavy about 9kg or 20lb, similar to picking up my sharp gf555!

That is one of the most beautiful boxes produced.  If you ever get the matching stand you'll really have something special.

that would be cool! must be rarer than rocking horse sh*t though
