The price is a bit high, but it’s different so it may have a market. It no worse than Rothko paintings, which are black squares on red background being worth millions.

personally I think it's an insult to the true 80's box I mean come on, why put real woofers in a cardboard box? it baffles me

it's typical one of those throw-away things industrial-design students designing these days. They only know real boxes like we have because their grandpa (dad threw his already away years ago) has one standing somewhere. And than they are revering to a small lousy Philips box lol... Their jaw falls off normally when I show them one of my bigger boxes.  I actually like it that the original boombox design gets some attention from this iPod-dock people.... But agree, they don't understand it at all..

I don't object to boombox styling being used in modern products...I do object to paying 65 euros for cardboard tho

Don't worry bro i don't have one now ether my friend....i wish i had never joined back here....to be honest tho lav i couldn't carry it now anyway....that phillips is a cracking box mate....and you know what a snob i am about sound...i won't listen to crap....it's just the m90 has power that's all....if i took my kaboom out i think theyd mug me... lol
