northerner - 2013-07-31 10:00

It doesn't work...soz

Not a true line in, just for recording

mitchelljames - 2013-07-31 10:58

Ah. that explains that

deliverance - 2013-07-31 11:01

if you connect to the line in  then press record i think it works this way .

mitchelljames - 2013-07-31 11:07

Er, the deck does not work lol.

i'll stick to my FM transmitter

michiel - 2013-07-31 14:14

It should work when you press the record button. At least it does with my two d8444's.

i have an fm transmitter but i cant find it,a friend gave it to me,whats the verdict on these MJ with a box any good?

mitchelljames - 2013-08-01 04:49

Well mine was a cheapy from ebay, about £7. but its lasting well into its forth year.

Some tracks it just dosnt sem to transmit very well but its good for about 90 of the stuff on my ipod.

Still nowhere as good as proper line in but better than nothing on some boxes.

andyboombox - 2013-08-01 09:44

yeah dels right, you have to engage record on the tape deck for line in to function, which is crazy in my mind

northerner - 2013-08-01 09:44

I use an FM transmitter with boxes with no line in and it sounds every bit as good as a line in on all tracks...its a tecknet one from amazon that plugs into the iphone, only cost a tenner and its fab

mitchelljames - 2013-08-01 10:49

Ive been mulling over getting one of these.

I have this thought about having a party at my house with boxes in every room and also around the garden, all blasting in unison

michiel - 2013-08-01 13:36

I'm using this one in and around my house, running 24/7 my own radio station  Can really recommend this stick. Got it from eBay, somewhere out of the east...

Trick is to use a 5m USB extension cable, it acts as antenna...
