Hey guys, i really want to get  a  boombox. Im 29 yrs old and have never had one of my own. My brothers and sisters had one back in the day .  Any advice on where i could get a decent one and what kind i should get?also whats the average price range?

Welcome, depends on where you are in the world. Check prices on eBay to give a rough guide of the "going" rate. There are many pictures all over this forum to help you decide the kind of looks you like. As an entry box you want to be looking at a Philips d8614, Sharp 9191 or a Aiwa 950 or some thing along those lines. Those all offer great sound quality and are not overly expensive. my 2p.

Welcome Will! You don't need to spend lots of money to get a nice one, even eBay can be a source of bargains if you're careful. Kinda depends on where in the world you are as to the likely boxes and how much

Wow thanks guys, i really appreciate the replies. I live in Virginia. When i get me a mancave its goin to be decked out in 80s- 90s themes. Lol i got a 2005 f150 with a 6cd player. I want to get it  taken out and get a vintage tape deck installed lmao.

Bit of a cheap one that Tosh, not bad price for a boxed one but it won't sound that impressive I'm afraid

welcome will83,  i guess it all depends on how much you are willing to pay, the good ones  can vary from 180 to 400 dollars.
