I don't usually make a fuss about new arrivals but I have been pretty excited about this one. It's an Aiwa Stereo 660 and i just unpacked it after it's trip from Italy. It completes my set of 660 770 and 880 'blue grille gang' and I am proud as punch to have them. It sounds a little better than a normal 600 and almost as good as a 770.

I will sort out a photo of the gang at the weekend.

If there is a 550 version that looks this good I will have to try and get that too, but these will do for now.

How about this Crown CSC 850 for £40? Needs belts but in lovely condition.

Or a JVC RC M80 for £24? Grubby but all intact and working perfectly. It sounds much better than i expected and the working deck was also a pleasant surprise.

Yes! These are nice finds! Really good bargains too!  The M80 is a cool box! I really like mine, especially the tape deck! Also got a 850 lately, but it not in my possesion yet. It still waiting for me in France at family. The seller on eBay.fr didn't send internationally, which make boxes go rather cheap. Got it for 100 euro, so 40 uk is deffinetinetly a super bargain!  Congrats with them!

I had to travel some to pick up the 850 and was concerned that the seller did not get much for it on Ebay, I was the only bidder! He was delighted though because he only paid £5 for it at a car boot sale!

great boxes Nick...and good prices....aiwas are the best....only box that beats em in the traditional world is the m90...i miss my 880 something rotten, it was a powerhouse outside

yeah a troublesome carry on it might as well of been packed/posted with brown paper
rapped round it but at least after some hours spent on it turned out great the sad thing is i hide it     

Lovely way of getting boxes Nick! Its really nice if both parties are happy and you meet the seller in person to hear the story behind a box. That's the way I like it! 

Nice Aiwa...I've only got one the 990 but it sounds great...quite fancy a 660 too.
