Dug my old boomer out of retirement need a bit of info
1..Does any one know the code/number of the remote control. Or have any ideas for a replacement? Mine is missing..
2..Cant remember what the MB button is for on the CD display panel any ideas?
3..How do I or can I run an ipod/mp3 player through the unit...There is no dedicated line in just the headphone socket? Thanks for any info. Great site with lots of interesting stuff. I bought this Super Woofer new and it is still in very good original condition and fully functioning......Regards to all...Pete

Thanks for that I have had quite a few over the years. This was the last one I bought and hung on to it. I did own some of the Sharp ones "play both sides" VZ Models I think plus numerous others. Got my first one about 1978 and have had one ever since....Pete

1: Sorted. Deliverance, you're a star
2: I asked the same question myself years ago & I think I got the answer at the time. Now, I can't remember & the post has gone from s2g (too old I guess), sorry!
Let us know if you find out...
3: This 3D has a mic-mix input on the back with a level control. You can plug an iPod into that (mono, unfortunately), so long as you're careful with the level input. My son used my CX-W500 like this for a while (until Santa brought him an i931).
btw, this is the only Hitachi 3D boomer I know of to have a remote.
Hitachi went crazy, fitting a motorised volume control too...

2: I asked the same question myself years ago & I think I got the answer:
"...if it's the small push-button switch next to the CD buttons, the one on my CX-W500 is labelled "M.B."...If memory serves it was a Beat Cut type switch, & I never found out why it was positioned with the CD buttons..."
