looking for big sound from a small/mid sized box

ozzy - 2013-12-04 09:40

I'm looking for a small/mid sized box roughly 40-50 cm x10-15cm x20-30 preferably on the smaller dimensions as I will be carrying it from work to home and so on every day

hope you guys have some suggestions or knowledge about the some of the radios I post here.

I unfortunately have an eye for the odd looking radios but sound is more important

That could work!

Leave the speakers at work and carry the middle bit and listen with headphones while you walk. You will look like a bit of a prat but it will sound goood. In ear type headphones will NOT cut it though.

More seriously... I would recommend a Panasonic RX-F32L. A little smaller than the Philips you mentioned earlier, but much louder and better sound and build quality.

themightyrepairer - 2013-12-04 14:34

any of the smaller powerhouses from Panasonic.. like the Panasonic RX-C50/C20/52 having owned a C50 I can honestly say it will surprise you..

No, we've got issues with our moderation filter, it's nothing personal

big sound with a big price $100-$200 just in postage alone for the ones available. guess i need to wait for one with some broken parts or at least in the same country

thanks for the suggestions much appreciated, also i thought sanyo was a cheap nasty sounding brand, thats what i was told anyway

deech - 2013-12-04 22:14

Sanyo cheap and nasty?...nope...of course all brands have some lower end basic boxes but Sanyo turned out some top quality stuff

Agreed. Sanyo M 7900K. i have a couple, and I love mine. They are a great little box with surprisingly big sound. They look like a big box shrunk down. I modified one to accomidate a strap utilizing the mic slots. Funny when people are over how they gravitate to this one in particular. I keep the second 7900 for parts thats how much I like these.
