As mentioned before there was an idea to do something for a magazine together. when jameswp67 came over to germany to stay some days in berlin we catched the idea and organised everything to make this happen. james did the words and expressed from his own point of view the whole history about ghettoblaster and urban culture in an article. Overehere in berlin we did some additional photoshoot and installation stuff, you might seen before. Now the article is relaesed after 6 month of planning, comunicating and organising. Another nice example of output made by stereo2go members.
thanks to jameswp67 and thanks stereo2go to put us in a position to connect each other.

Nice work guys, great read
WOW. how had I not seen this before????
Very cool! That is a fantastic article.
The only thing I would add is that, since published in Berlin of all places, maybe the Telefunken Studio 1M deserved a mention as it has pretty much defines the pinnacle of sound possible out of a portable unit, and the fact that JVC innovated the boombox concept in more recent history with the Kaboom.
Nonetheless, that's nitpicking what is truly a great piece of work. Please don't think it's criticism.... its more of an afterthought...
Thanks for sharing!
very good article guys, very informative....thank you for sharing

The GF-9696 (Img.13), a
beautiful looking machine also had individual bass controls, and had pitch
control to adjust tape speed for different recordings.
I own a 9696 and it haves not bass individual controls but trebble.
the bass is not a knob but a switch on the left side on the 9696.
