retro - 2012-05-22 12:21
So here's a compilation of portable radio ads I managed to acquire from sites around the internet mixed in with some scans of my own. Feel free to ad others if I missed any...enjoy.

Yep, this is another spectacular post from retro!
I wonder if Disco Robo survived that day at the beach.
I'm trying to figure out what that Gulliver is too. Is the guy in the upper left corner ("Bob King, inventor, industrialist, TV personality"?) the creator of this? Looks like a little portable stereo radio...can't be anything too fancy for the price.

The mother load Retro...you've outdone yourself yet again!!!
Two things....the Crowncorder.... from the "what the hell were they thinking department" and the Japanese advertising of the late 70's and early 80's...catered towards those only on acid.
P.S. the Discorobo looks fun at the beach!

Thanks guys, most of this has been posted before, so I can't take all the credit myself. It's just a compilation of what I've found over the years, and since we now have unlimited storage, I want to upload all the media thats been stored on my hard drives for so long. Also, check out the clips section, we now have over 4300 images that has been keeping the Google bots busy lately.

How brilliant, thanks Retro. I love the fact that some of these ads have outlived the units themselves.
Here are some I've found...
