Not a boombox, but still nice "heavy duty" cassette recorder.
You can see a Sony C-60 tape inside the unit.
The movie was filmed in 1975, and this Sony from 73-74 catalog.

Aiwa made the TP-22 around the same time, slightly nicer than the Sony. It had a removeable radio unit

I don't think this Aiwa was made around the same time.
These buttons, eject button, tuner scale - it looks like it's from early 80'
