Lav Loo,
If you copied this information from www.recallsharp.ru, you should know - there are a lot of mistakes, i.e. production years, specifications, original prices, etc. A lot !!
just FYI.
I wouldn't trust the information from that site.
It don't know exact year when D8614 was launched, but according to this catalog
http://philips.pytalhost.com/philips82/
- it's from 1982, and looks like there is no this model in 1981 booklet, most likely 1982 is the right year - official catalog is a trustworthy source.
lav.loo - 2012-12-29 09:58
yes i did get the info from sharp recall Metad, the year of the 8614 is defo 1982 as it says on the brochure and iv'e seen it in numerous places.
thanks for the heads up on the recall sharp sight though mate, if you could add any info or pics here i would greatly appreciate it
metad - 2012-12-29 11:17
sorry LavLoo, I have no any information or cool pics of yours fave, at the moment, but if I get something, I'll post it, of course
lav.loo - 2012-12-29 12:19
no probs Metad, thankyou
metad - 2013-01-08 11:13
Lav Loo, another bit of information, prices from the catalog, unfortunately I don't know the year of this brochure
1596,0_in DKK - Danish krones
125,27_in British pounds
228 ___in US dollars
lav.loo - 2013-01-08 12:02
thanks for posting this up Metad, if them prices are correct then the prices given on recall sharp are incorrect as you said they may be?
thankyou for the info much appreciated

Now i wouldn't come back at this topic but what can i say
I m really overwhelmed after cleaning my Philips D8614 !!
tHis beast needs no intorduction all i have to add is
some before and after pics !
I can really enjoy this one now as the other one i got
didnt have the time to enjoy because it went straight away to be displayed
at the exhibit
Its light show is amazing and i also have to say that both Led meters
are dancing to the music in AUX and RADIO .
The sad thing is that the cassette deck is dead and i dont think it
can be brought back to life (cleaning it i ve found a broken gearwheel inside). Anyone know what kind of decks
Philips used for it as its quite unsimilar to others ive seen.
lav.loo - 2013-04-26 10:03
i have to say it looks a real beauty Deech, the led's on the 8614 are some of the nicest iv'e ever seen your making me crave another badly
