I will let go my few 3 piece boomboxes because I like the classic 1 piece style more.

I´ve got a Hitachi 3D9 in pretty good condition. If anybody is interested please send me a PM. Will trade for a nice midsize unit, too. Just send me suggestions.

About the optical condition.
There a just a few scretches on the top ( I will post more pictures tomorrow) the whole front including tunerglass and tape door looks like new. Grills are plane, all lettering is intact.
Unfortunately one slider of the 5 Band EQ is missing (for the hights 10khz).
The speaker wires on the back are taped and one of the clips is missing.

Technically it´s 100% functional.
No static on the sliders and switches.
Good reception on all bands (FM, AM, SW, LW).
Antenna is complete and straight (clips are not broken).
Tape is fully working - I used it for recording because its running great, has got dolby system and it can play metal type tapes.
The sound is great. In "Super Bass" Mode it produces a nice deep sound. The EQ provides a good range to adjust the sound to different sources.
Input is RCA for Phono or Line with a switch on the back to choose and an input level poti on the back. Output is RCA, too.

It´s the 220V version (TRK-9230E) but you can also use 12V DC or 8 D-Size batteries. The battery compartment is clean and the door is not missing.

Size: 64cm width, 28cm heigth, 19cm depth


I´m in Berlin/Germany - not sure if this is interesting for members outside of Europe because of the shipping costs. I will pack it carefully and try to keep the costs as low as possible.

This is a nice, "grown-up" sounding Hitachi 3D.
I can recommend it as one of the better 1st gen 3Ds. Hope someone snaps ths one up

? Where it says [ 3D super woofer ] what kind - round, oval, size woofer is behind there ?

what size are the woofers in the speaker box's? does this have a real tweeter's or is it a Piezo ?

I guess they are piezo tweeter from the looks from outside. The woofers in the speaker boxes are 5 Inch. I didn´t open the cabinets but thats what I see through the ventilation holes on the back.

Behind the Grill in the middle are two round 4 Inch speaker.
The small red writing on the front says "3-Way 6-Speaker Sound System"!

OK, behind the central grille we have two 4" concertina edged woofers (with nice big magnets. The tweeters are piezos, yes.
