I have to thin the herd, I have way too many boomboxes and I need to make room.
Last summer I sold a bunch, gave away a few and trashed a few that were beyond salvation.
I still have 75 or so boxes left. I want to concentrate on only a dozen and let the rest go.

But let's get back to the JVC.
I've had this for quite some time. It works quite well but has 2 issues.
I foolishly loaned it out back in the day and the idiot I loaned it to, dropped it and broke the tuning knob and cracked the case, which in turn snapped the tuning dial string. The radio does work quite well but you need to tune by ear. I never had it fixed as it worked well for me so I left it as is. Needless to say, that friendship ended and I never loan anything out again as well.

The tape deck works well but will need service soon. It has never been touched and I'm sure the belts and lubricant are all dried up as it's 28 years old.

All the inputs and outputs, lights, meters tape search etc work well.
