Hi! Does anybody out there have a philips d8734 suitable for spares. What i need is the ru-21 cassette mechanisms on this box for spare drive cogs. I have the philips part nos for the cogs but they are obsolete, have tried everywhere at home and abroad to no avail. If anybody can help with any info on how to obtain these parts it would be "very much appreciated".

hi there ron, i have just sold a d8734, but i do have a beat up 1 in my garage, maybe i can help??
Hi! lav loo. Thanks for your quick response. Are you prepared to remove the cassette mechanisms intact they are only held in with four screws &snip all the edge connector wires & the two wires at the capstan drive motors. It would make it a lot smaller & cheaper parcel to send.Or is it the whole item as is you want to sell?.Can you e-mail me at radams23j6@blueyonder.co.uk with your ideas on the matter & about how payment is conducted on this site as i am new to this site. I assume the cassette mechanisms are serviceable?
"Many Thanks". Hope to hear from you soon.

hello stranger, yes it was me rattling on about the d8614.
i just think it,s a great all round box
yes your probably right about the wooden speakers more solid maybe more bass.
but i prefer the plastic, they never rot.
ive had the big philips with wooden speakers, not sure of the model but it was huge and sound was very good.
