After much lurking on these forums over the last couple of years, it's time for me to write my first post as it's time to part company with my small collection of portable stereos.
Hitachi TRK-3D30E
Both tape decks and radio function correctly.
Tape Deck 1 door has to be lifted open manually.
Good cosmetic condition.
Hitachi TRK-3D8E
Tape deck 1 functions correctly. Tape deck 2’s sound is slightly muffled and there is some noticeable wow & flutter.
The radio aerial is no longer present and is therefore unable to pick up any stations.
Good cosmetic condition.
Sharp GF-9090
Tape deck works correctly but the door may need a new spring as it appears not to close completely, resulting in some azimuth misalignment.
Radio works correctly.
Very good cosmetic condition.
Panasonic RX-5500LE
Tape deck and radio function correctly. Slight static noise when turning rotary knobs.
Very good cosmetic condition.
Sanyo M-X920K
The unit powers up but neither the tape deck nor radio work.
The AMSS button is stuck in the ‘on’ position.
The Mixing Mic knob is no longer present.
Above average/good cosmetic condition.

if you knew what was up with the big sanyo and could fix it for me id have it.for sure. but other than that you see its nothing more than a big ornament
real pity as ive wanted one of those for ages.
I will open up the Sanyo to see if i can get the radio working again.
It might just be a case of connecting a couple of loose wires as I remember fixing a problem with it some time ago.
For the record, the speakers all work.
