I noticed this today, too! Kinda tempted to buy one just to compare the sound to an RX-DT680/690.

Looks-wise, though...meh. Seems cheaply done, not the type of stuff Panasonic was doing in the 80s or even 90s. They'd have me if they offered a Platinum version with higher quality all around, real EQ, Dolby, and maybe a nice spectrum analyzer light show. Hey, one can dream...
