I would've gone for it too, but I want another 1st edition TRC-931...

That's one of the better versions of the 2nd edition TRC-931 I've seen 'cause some come with only 1 antenna.

i would have liked to get that too...

i have the same box but so incredibly ugly and scabbed together. sound good though.

i noticed on the "auto reverse" style of this second edition some have the headphone jack in the front, some are on the side of box.

are these both 2nd editions? the first edition is the "jumbo" right?

This is the 1st edition Lasonic TRC-931:

They were released in 1986... The power meters are on the right hand side, the top deck has no auto-reverse and the chrome handle ends are skinny. While eBay is flooded with 2nd edition models at all times, the 1st edition model pops up maybe 3 or 4 times a year, if that.
