there have been lots of entries on prior posts as to which is the best looking box - ever --
and , of course, --nobody ever agrees --
but THIS black/chrome model is way up there
everything works --
its not mint - has a few marks -but nothing to prevent it from looking spectacular-
the only bad news is that this one was so hard to find - that after an entire year of waiting -- it had to be imported from FAR AWAY
-so it cost some hundredS --
therefor - dont be shy about high offers !!
or - surprise me (again) ---and nobody offer
add 40 for insured UPS ground double boxed -
the last picture is the only one thats not this box --it was bundled off baby boomer because the color shows the white woofs better --
please send me a PM during the next 3 days if you want it - thanks
What a stunning box!
It is beautiful!
Ira, would you trade it for Hitachi 8600 in near mint condition??
So much work in getting it.......
nope -
but i might consider that wimpy 4360 you're stuck with

bredgeo - i was so hoping you would not see this one !!
---but most of us KNOW how it is ---sometimes we have to make changes and room for other boxes --
anyhow -- this is an extreme case where a MEMBER should get it --agree ??

YAP --its the thread in this section by LED museum --says FREE ghettoblasters --
with your skills -- i am almost certain that you will eventually locate this post

Ira,
I've got the silver version in like condition and really like it but I hear you, sometimes you just got to let go. I've considered selling mine to make room for even better boxes.
Good luck and who ever gets it will be pleased I'm sure. If I had room for 2 9191's I'd be very tempted.
thanks, MB -

It's not how big you make it. It's how you make it big.

True, the size of the driver doesn't directly correlate to the size of the bumping.
For safety's sake I'll back away from this thread slowly, but first...
GOOD LUCK IRA! I know somebody will be impressed with how "big" it's sound is.

Here's the metric size of the GF-9191 for direct comparison.
Dimensions (W)x(H)x(D):516x271x115mm
So the 9191 is a little bit smaller than the 8989.
WRONG --
the 8989 is bigger than the 9090 --
but smaller than the 9191.

IRA, please explain!
Those figures came from data sheets on the 8989 and 9191 and show the 8989 is larger than the 9191.
MB --we are BOTH part wrong
the 9191 = 516
the 8989 = 510
but the other 2 dimensions = favor the 8989
----anyhow --whoever buys this 9191 will be happy !!

True when comparing dimension for dimension but I was basing my conclusion on overall size or volume of the case. Depending on how you look at it you can make a case either way.
I also agree the buyer of the 9191 should be pleased. The quality of the 9191 is higher or so I'm guessing becuase I don't actually have an 8989.
