henrytai - 2008-03-08 10:52

here's the link~ Smile

masterblaster84 - 2008-03-08 11:46

Nice henry, I'm watching it and I would like one of the 7000's but I'll have to check the sanity of my finances.

daiwa - 2008-03-08 12:52

Looks cool henrytai
but that shipping, killer... Mad
... doesn't seem that bad from hong kong i guess... good luck.

vladi123456 - 2008-03-08 13:18

Just in case anybody was curious - the sound of this box is simply amazing - in my opinion similar to BigBen - just not as much bass.

henrytai - 2008-03-09 10:11

is the big ben really bassy??

let's check out the surface shipping
65bucks, thanks~

- 2008-03-09 10:43

I also have it on my watching list from the day you listed it henry but the $65.00 shipping is only for VERY SLOW Surface/Boat shipping correct? I know from experience that SURFACE can take months to arrive in Canada and any boombox that long in shipping has a high damage risk... Frown so how much for Airmail? Confused

henrytai - 2008-03-09 10:47

95USD about one week
65USD 6-8 weeks
um....long shipping...
but most of the time the bbx is just sitting on the boat Wink
damage risk is mostly bring by loading and unloading, i think Smile

- 2008-03-09 10:52

Ok thanks henry. I know it states "6-8 weeks" but i've bought items before from your country and i know it can take much longer than that depending on CUSTOMS DELAYS.....

What??????

Okay, we have not been to the same places.

Valdi, a RX 7000 sounds, well.... humm... just Okay... Yeah, just okay. They are great in looks, and yes have a good sound , but JUST good in sound.

This is me of course.

I do have a 7200 coming in (if it gets here in one piece... coming from Peppin), I will be able to compare The 7000, 7200 and 5350.

But nothing can compare to an M70 and over all, an M90!

I have not had the joys of listening to a GF 1000... Rimmer (the M90 guy) seams to say a GF 1000 is as good as or even better than an M90... TO BE seen/heard.

.......... You really think an RX 7000 is "Amazing" in sound?

redbenjoe - 2008-03-09 11:41

bredgeo - you are so right about all that -- i will guess vladi meant 'QUIET amazing'-

because the 7000 does have a beautiful sound quality --but only up to a quiet volume

anyway - never heard a 7200 - so anxious to hear your 7000/7200 sound off

masterblaster84 - 2008-03-09 11:44

Bredgeo the whole M90 comparison rages on. Wink

There will always be opinions for some boxes that sound as good or better than an M90 but what that tells me is GET AN M90 so you don't have to try and convince yourself that other boxes are as good.

My Advice:
Get yourself an M90 then you can play around with the rest just for fun. Wink

Master,

I don't own an M90, but I do have one... to be clarified...

I am the guardian of my brother's original (from the times) M90, so I can compare... But I do guess it all has to do with the person giving the comparison...

I absolutely agree that the reviewer plays a big role in the impressions of the boxes. Everybody has their own tastes so everyone has different conclusions.

Glad to hear you have an M90 at the moment, it's a fantastic box and is a great example of what can be done when these companies have a desire to create a quality box.

I really was kind of poking fun at how so many people compare the same box to an M90 and come away with drastically different results. The M90 is the box by which all others are measured! Big Grin

Loll..i don't want to confuse you further MB84 but i had an M90 and i was a little disappointed despite all the HYPE about it so i got rid of mine and no real regrets either to be honest. Everyone has different opinions and thats the way it should be i guess but the famous M90 is not "all that" Wink and yes mine worked well.

Beast that's what I mean, everybody has different taste. To me and many others the M90 is "all that" however to some it's not. For those that it's not please sell them to Bredgeo and I for $100, we'll take very good care of them. Big Grin

Well, when my RX-7000 decides to work - it has a very high quality sound. I've never compared it to M90 though - I said it sounded almost as good as BigBen - only with less bass. It definately sounds better than Sharp 9696 or Aiwa 955. So overall - I think it's quite amazing Big Grin

henrytai - 2008-03-10 12:04

i think M90(with a good working condition) is the "sounding standard"
it cover mostly bass and quality
i do think M70/SK900/RX7000 are "nearly" on the same level
I have these babies now, i think m70 is the "average" one, SK900 goes forward to Quality and RX7000 cover more bass
i think you guys have to check out the Sony CFS-V8 if you are lucky enough to get a complete one.
it comes with a good building quality, unqiue design and a good sound.
I'm working on my Bombeat S83, mint/nice look but no sound Frown

What????

The RX-7000 sounds better than the unbelievably overhyped (and overpriced)in the past GF-9696???

Sometimes the truth does hurt.

Vladi, I believe I have the RX-7000 service manual, I'd be willing to loan it to you if you ever undertake repairing your 7000.

vladi123456 - 2008-03-10 19:20

Panasonic Fan, I really appreciate that! M90 is first on my list - I need to get the FM stereo fixed, and then next on the list is RX-7000. When I get to it - I'll remember to PM you Smile Thanks again!
