Sharp GF-9797

do you guys know if this has the identical sound as the 9696 --
and then the big difference is only the digital tuner ?

Never heard one but one of our Sharp experts, Bredgeo, rates the sound well below the 9696. Other members have stated they sound good though so I'll bet side by is where the 9696 is noticeably better.

Just saw this... The BIN has apparently been removed. Open bidding starting at $0.01 with no reserve and no bids yet...?

If memory serves, GF-9595 and 9494 are both more powerful than this unit. This one has a really nice tapedeck with that next generation of softer buttons like on the GF-8989. I suspect those two are from the same year and the 9797 is that years top model. However, it does not seem to match up too well in the oomph department versus some of its predecessors.

Regardless, it sure is a looker! Very nice.

Ya guys should watch it anyways..These machines pop up regularly on germany ebay and their prices are between 80-150€ normally.
sometimes there is one that fetches close to 200 but these are just a few.

seems like one of the common sharp-boxes in this neck of the woods.

I'll bet the buyer removed the BIN because a bunch of us put it on our watch list. Since he removed the BIN I removed it from my list but I'll be curious to see what it sells for now.

Noticed the bin was lifted too. Hope he gets maybe only 100 usd. aka billriker32 is on it. Maybe get a back door win

That's kind of my thought too godsmacked. 150 euro was plenty for the seller until he saw the action in the watch column (that's my guess) then he got greedy, I kind of hope it backfires on him.
