The JVC RC550 that is on Ebay with 1 day 16 hours left, item # 160212695583 seems a bit suspicious Does anyone feel this way? The seller has 3 positive feedbacks, but bidder 6***s with (0) feedback has bid 35 times and there have been 46 bids including myself. Not going to keep bidding if I think this guy may be running it up with another account. But dam the box looks clean.

That's not an easy call. If you look at the 0 feedback bidder you can't even tell how long they've been a member. They used to include the day the account was created, they've removed this useful information from the userid history.
I would be cautious with this one but it's possible it's legit.
dont be over-careful and lose this box -- it has all the papers, looks mint -
and you guys know that any great listings of this model sells on ebay for more than 500
so if the zero bidder was on the sellers 'team'
then the price might be 450 by now
There's another 550 that is closing in 25 minutes -

Not really. It takes at least 2 bidders to keep pushing the price up so as long as no one else bids $450.00 the sellers "friend" cannot push it up on his own...understand?

forgot to mention -- the seller of the mint one (tomorrow)is new -- and i think (??) thats the reason he can get only 200 in paypal insurance-
so when you win it -- pay the paypal with your credit card
Exactly!

Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated.
That one is actually in Pa. where I live. Pretty beat up. How do you not have the bars that come with it?
the bars probably went to a better 550
